Research Challenge SAP Cooperation and Inclusiveness - Aspects of Interregional Development


This challenge is framed by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN and addresses cooperation and inclusiveness challenges and opportunities that deepen into key aspects of interregional development. With this learning experience, you will have the opportunity to be part of an interdisciplinary international group that will understand the essence of the European spirit and the principles that underpin cooperation within the European Union. Participants will explore policies, initiatives, and inclusive cross-border collaborations that reflect Europe's commitment to educational advancement and societal well-being. This challenge encourages active engagement through lectures, discussions, group work, and the exploration of real-world case studies. It's a chance to explore cooperation solutions to foster a brighter future for Europe and its diverse, interconnected communities.

Academic Recognition
To be defined by each Home Institution. In general terms, most students will have this RUN-EU SAP certified in the Diploma Supplement, as a minimal condition.
Means Criteria
Self-assessment, teacher assessment based on project outcomes. Criteria: active participation and attendance for all students of each group during online sessions are mandatory. Individual participation (attendance): 20% Group work: 80% (20% Interim Presentation + 60% Final presentation).

Target Audience
Open to all RUN EU students. Prior to the members of Student Councils in each RUN-EU member university.
Selection criteria
Students will be selected based on the fulfillment of requirements and information provided in the submitted application. The total number of students to be selected is 30.

At the end of this RUN-EU SAP students will be able to:

- Get a clear view of the cooperation European Spirit recognizing its historical significance and values, within the framework of the UN SDGs.

- Acknowledge the importance of interregional cooperation in the rich cultural diversity within Europe while understanding the importance of fostering inclusion, equity, and a shared sense of identity.

- Recognize various societal aspects beyond education, such as social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and cultural citizenship in interregional cooperation.

- Examine case studies and examples of successful and inclusive interregional collaborations that have contributed to societal advancement and the promotion of the European spirit.

- Develop strategies to ensure that European interregional cooperation efforts are inclusive, considering the participation of all member states and regions.

- Apply interdisciplinary approaches to address societal challenges, recognizing that cooperation often requires a multifaceted approach.

- Clearly communicate information, ideas, problems, and solutions to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
