Stress and Stress Management in Educational Contexts 2nd Edition


Stress and stress management in educational contexts is a RUN-EU Short Advanced Programme (SAP) offering an active learning journey and approach from the understanding of stress to how to cope with it, particularly in educational contexts. The programme comprises 3 weeks of online workshops and 1 intensive in-person workshop week, from the 6 November to the 1 December 2023.

All RUN-EU staff and students from postgraduate studies are invited to participate along with students on level 8 programmes. The programme is aimed at participants in all disciplines and subject areas from across RUN EU partner institutions.

The objective is to provide participants with practical resources to better manage stress and increase participant skills to manage emotional and social well-being, as well as an understanding of when and how to seek support.

Flat flexible teaching and group workspace with access to a large screen and full Zoom license; additional funding for guest speakers and team-building refreshments across the intensive seminar week; access to internet; transport costs and entry fees for site visits, closing evening meal.

Proposed Learning Outcomes

At the end of this RUN-EU SAP participants will be able to:

- Apply critical thinking, creative problem-solving concepts, and strategies to prevent stress, promote self-care and to cope with stress in educational contexts.

- Participate in multidisciplinary, multicultural and co-creation environments to explore issues relating to stress and well-being.

- Recognize and communicate information, ideas, problems, and solutions related to stress and stress managing clearly.

- Demonstrate awareness for different kinds of stress (both functional and otherwise) and how these can be self-managed.
