PROGRAM – INTERNACIONAL CONFERENCE AND WORKSHOPS
"LET'S TAKE A DIP 2017" will welcome acclaimed national and international designers and researchers in the area of product design. Names such as Paulo Parra, Álvaro Catalan de Ocon, Ora Ito, Toni Grilo and Guto Requena will participate as speakers and will have their work featured in an open exhibition in the city of Barcelos.
Apart from the conference and design exhibition, the event will also host a series of workshops aimed at building and enhancing skills where traditional craftsmanship techniques will be paired with digital design and technology.
The 2nd edition of "LET'S TAKE A DIP" aims to promote knowledge exchange and sharing of experiences between students and general public, as well as bring together leading figures of Product Design and related disciplines. The goal is to reflect on the potential of this field through looking into issues of both academic and industry relevance, such as creativity, use of new materials and technologies, challenges and barriers for both young designers and businesses, with the aim of identifying possible directions for the future.
The seminar is open to all students of Industrial Design and Product from ESD as well as to the general public.
